Membership Categories:

Associate Member
Firms which supply goods and services to members, whose goods and services are not for resale. Associate category members hold a non-voting membership.

Consultant Member
Individuals or companies who provide consulting services (including engineering and design and analysis) for solar energy projects.

Contractor Member
Licensed contractors authorized to install solar energy equipment.

Distributor Member
Individuals or companies who distribute solar products on a wholesale basis for one or more manufacturers.

Manufacturer Member
Individual or companies engaged in the manufacture of solar energy components.

Manufacturers' Representative
Individuals or companies who sell solar products on a wholesale basis for a specific manufacturer.

Out-of-State
Individuals or companies active in the solar industry outside the State of Florida.

Project Developer
Includes the following categories:

  • Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) - An EPC is a common form of contracting arrangement within the construction industry. Under an EPC contract, the contractor will design the installation, procure the necessary materials and construct it by subcontracting the work.
  • Independent Power Producers(IPP) - An IPP is a non-utility generator (NUG) which is an entity, not a public utility, which owns facilities to generate electric power for sale to utilities. NUGs may be privately-held facilities, cooperatives such as rural solar or wind energy producers and non-energy industrial concerns capable of feeding excess energy into the system.

Research Center
Institution or organization engaged in ongoing research and development in the field of solar energy.

Retailer Member
Individuals or companies who sell, but do not install, solar products.

Subscriber Member
Individuals or companies who subscribe to the quarterly Industry News newsletter.
Subscriber category members hold a non-voting membership.

Utility Company
Corporation engaged in generation, transmission or distribution of electricity or gas.
